The Lungshan Temple



The Lungshan Temple is Taipei’s oldest and one of Taiwan’s most popular religious edifices. Located in Lukan, Taiwan, The temple’s main use is for devotees to worship Guanshiyin Buddha. The temple is usually visited by devoted worshippers and tourists from all over the world. Visitors will surely be overwhelm and be fascinated by the temple’s astonishing and intricate designs. The temple boast of such magnificent architectural designs wherein the main feature is its 3 beautiful halls. Almost, every part of the temple is well-decorated, from doors to its pillars. There are also exquisite wood sculptures. Visitors will have a field day shopping for souvenir items, as dozens Buddhists shops are stationed within the temple’s complex.

The National Palace Museum



The National Palace Museum was first founded in the Forbidden City during the reign of Dai Kong in the Sung Dynasty on October 1925, but was moved after China’s last emperor was expelled from power. The present building was constructed in 1964 and was finished by August of 1965.The museum underwent several innovations in 1967, 1970, and 1996. It reopened on December 25, 2006.Taipei’s National Palace Museum, located in the Waishuanghsi ranks as one of the four best museums in the world.

Priceless treasures stored there include: antique potteries, ancient Chinese paintings, bronze weapons, sculptures, ceramics, jade, porcelain, valuable documents, rare books,and some ancient Chinese calligraphy. Most of these art objects are from the private collection of China’s emperors including. jades like the “Jadeite Cabbage” and the “Meat-Shaped” Stone made of jasper. The National Palace Museum truly reflects the rich cultural heritage of Chinese civilization and ancient Chinese culture.

Kenting National Park

Kenting National Park located in the Hengchun Peninsula is a 333 square kilometer land divided into the north and south by the Hegchun valley plain. Recognized as Taiwan first National Park, it was established on January 1, 1984. Kenting National Park is famous for its tropical climate, scenic mountain and beach. One of the most remarkable site in the park is the 18 meters high Eluanbi lighthouse, which itself is covered white, shaped cylindrical, and with 4 floors. With an optical power of light that can reach 20 miles far, Eluanbi lighthouse is considered as the most intensified lighthouse in Asia.

The place also owns a series of bedazzling landscapes is actually known as the haven for water lovers because of its beautiful sea. Aside from the many species of animals among them 310 birds species, 216 kinds of butterflies, 21 species of freshwater fish and other mammals, reptiles and amphibians, the park is home to a number of endangered plants-including the Taiwanese orchids.

Apart from the lush nature, Kenting offers beautiful beaches that are accessible to everyone. Visitors can enjoy different activities such as; surfing, diving, snorkeling, water scooter and banana boat riding. The area is famous for its beautiful coral reefs and the rich marine life.
