Denmark is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. This Scandinavian country in Northern Europe is one of the most progressive countries and one of the best places to live in.

The state of Denmark is headed by a monarch and the government is headed by a Prime Minister. Denmark is a member of the European Union and is ranks as having the highest level of income equality in the world. The country is also regarded by Forbes for having the world’s best business. Based on standards of health, education and welfare, Denmark is “the world’s happiest place” from 2005 to 2009.

Denmark is truly one of the best tourist destinations in the world because it is the world’s second most peaceful country and the least corrupt country in the world.

One of the most beautiful and most visited tourist attractions in Denmark is Karolinelund. This amusement park is located in Aalborg and was founded in 1946. This amusement park was called Tivoliland from the 1970s to 2005. Its present name- Karolinelund was taken from the original name of the site where the park is located.

Another remarkable zoological garden in Copenhagen is Copenhagen Zoo. This very old zoo which was founded in 1859 is one of the very first zoos in Europe. With an area of 11 hectares, the park is visited by more than 1 million visitors every year. This zoological garden is the most visited zoo in Denmark and the 4th most visited attraction in the country.

Another popular zoo in Denmark is Aalborg Zoo. It is one of the biggest zoos in Denmark. It is located in Aalborg and is visited by more than 300 thousand visitors every year. With an area of 8 hectares and contains more than 1,200 animals that belong to 138 different species. The park opened in 1935.

4.) Nyhavn

A unique tourist destination in Denmark is Nyhavn. This colorful 17th century waterfront, canal and popular entertainment district is located in the country’s capital – Copenhagen. The brightly colored townhouses, bars, restaurants and cafes were built during the 17th and 18th centuries. Numerous wooden ships are anchored along the canal.
