Some beautiful places to visit in Laos.

Though considered one of the least popular Southeast Asian country, Laos has a number of amazing sights to offer incoming visitors. From the history-riched city of Luang Prabang; to Pha That Luang – a famous Buddhist temple; and to “Asia’s version of Stonehenge” – The Plain of Jars, your visit to Laos will be an experience of a lifetime.

Pha That Luang – a 16th century Buddhist temple built during the reign of Emperor Setthathirat. It is located in the Vientiane City, Laos. As a part of their quest, This Buddhist stupa has three levels and housed several statues of Buddha. Pha That Luang is visited by thousands of Buddhists as a part of their pilgrimage.

Luang Prabang is a peaceful city along the banks of Mekong River in Central Laos. A major tourist spot in the world, the ancient city offers visitors these beautiful sites.

* Haw Kham – a former royal palace that is now converted into a theater, where local dramas and cultural dances are presented.

* Phou Si - a colossal hill where visitors can see the panoramic view of the city.

* Kaung Si Falls- a multi-stage waterfall where the highest cascade is about 180 feet high.

* Pak Ou Caves are caves located to the north of Luang Prabang city. The caves are well-known for their remarkable Buddha sculptures done by locals. More than 4000 Buddha sculptures are found in these group of caves.
