Info Post
Modern Science has gone a long way. With man’s continuing researches, inventions and discoveries science has become what it is today–powerful. However, there are areas where Science has no definite answers.

7. Lightning Balls

Modern science has no concrete explanations about the physical nature of a rare atmospheric electrical phenomenon known as ball lightning. Ball lightning can be seen as spherical objects about 30 centimeters in diameter that is usually associated with thunderstorms. However, the occurrence of lightning balls sometimes lasts longer than lightning flashes. Researchers have difficulty gathering substantial data including photos to study since this phenomenon appears rarely and randomly. With little facts gathered to work on, many experts thought that this phenomenon was merely a fantasy or a hoax.

6. Stigmata

Another strange phenomenon worth looking into is one that has association with the Roman Catholic faith — one that has resemblance with the crucifixion wounds of Jesus. Records showed that individuals who experienced stigmata bore marks or sores on their bodies, apparently without rational explanation. Usually, these wounds appear on the victim’s wrists, feet, forehead, and in the side. In some cases, no external marks are visible but the victim feel the pain. In most cases stigmatics are females. Saint Francis of Assisi is one famous person who experience stigmata. He first suffered the wounds in La Verna, Italy, in 1224. The most famous stigmatist of the twentieth century was Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (1887-1968).

5. Acupuncture

Originating from ancient China, acupuncture is a technique of inserting and manipulating fine needles into specific points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes. This medical practice is based upon the unproven theory of “vital energy,” “energetic balance” and “energetic imbalance.” Acupuncture practitioners believe that by inserting needles into the skin at specific points (known as “meridian points”), the natural flow is restored and the pain relieved. Though this medical procedure needs further researches and investigations, medical experts are in one that acupuncture is safe when performed by well-trained practitioners using sterile needles.

4. UFOs

Unidentified flying object (commonly abbreviated as UFO or U.F.O.) is the popular term for any aerial phenomenon whose cause cannot be easily or immediately determined. Thousands of UFO sightings are reported annually. Of these, at least 90 per cent can be identified as conventional objects (usually aircraft, bright planets or stars, meteors, satellites, birds and balloons), and only a small percentage of reported UFOs are actual hoaxes.

3. Extra-sensory perception
